We have all been waiting a long time for a governor and state leadership that can work together to advance a children’s agenda in California. As we await the beginning of a Gavin Newsom administration, I am reaching out to share a few exciting updates.
Later this month, I am going to take a 6-month sabbatical from running the Early Learning Lab to team up with other California early childhood stakeholders to work more deeply on the policy front. I am looking forward to rolling up my sleeves along with partners to support the development of a policy agenda that can truly impact the life trajectory of California’s children.
I am also very pleased to share that Sheetal Singh, the Lab’s Director of Design & Innovation, has agreed to be the Lab’s Interim Executive Director. I know she will do a terrific job in leading the team and moving the work forward. During this time, I will continue to stay on as a Senior Advisor and remain committed to supporting the work of the Lab.
Please join me in welcoming Sheetal and take a moment to hear her thoughts on what’s ahead for the Lab including a focus on bringing practice and technology innovations to scale.
